In beautiful Benzie and surrounding counties… Enjoy our surroundings at Chimney Corners. Acres of wooded hills and old orchards surround the core resort property. Take an early morning walk to look for wildlife. From birds to black squirrels, wild turkey, white tail deer, coyotes and we are told, an occasional bear. There is much discussion about the elusive cougar's presence in this area although we have not seen one. |

Spend some time on our beautiful beach or head to Lake Michigan…at Point Betsie Lighthouse, just a few minutes south of the resort. Great for hotdog roasts and sunsets! | ||

If you feel energetic, travel north to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park for a dune climb to Lake Michigan. Or, tour the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, in your vehicle, for beautiful views of the Glen Lakes. The visitor center is in Empire, just before the dune climb. Stop in for the history of the area and buy your daily or weekly pass. | ||

Canoe the Platte or Betsie rivers. Riverside Canoe Trips offers fast or family style river trips, tubing, kayaking and has a great gift shop and sells fishing tackle too. Crystal Lake Adventure Sports sells and rents kayaks from its Beulah location and has complementary gear for paddlers as well as a selection of bikes and clothing. | ||
| Bring your clubs…golfers can choose from many different courses in Benzie and the surrounding counties. Pinecroft, Champion Hills and Crystal Mountain, are just a few options. Each one has their own challenges and beautiful views. | |||

| Fishing can be done from our rowboats, on a calm morning or evening, close to shore. Otherwise, bring your own boat and motor or rent one from a nearby marina. Lake Michigan Charter Fishing is always fun… the Frankfort Tackle Box offers trips as well as a full line of fishing tackle. Coho salmon fishing starts mid-August in Lake Michigan and the fish run up the Platte River to spawn in September. | |||
