Chimney Corners offers a wealth of fun activities and services to assist you in enjoying a relaxing and memorable vacation by the lake.
For time spent playing in the waters of Crystal Lake we provide toys for building sandcastles for children, and paddleboards and rowboats for the adults and older kids. You can wade out to our shallow raft to splash in the lapping waves, or, if you are feeling more adventurous, take a swim out to our deep water raft and bring your snorkel so you can catch a glimpse of the schools of silvery minnows that flit by. Life jackets are available and shared by all our guests. Back on dry land you can try a game of tetherball or shuffleboard, or throw on your sneakers and cross the street for a game of tennis in our gated doubles court or shoot a few hoops of basketball. Then grab a treat or icy drink at the snack shack and cool off for a leisurely nap on one of our comfortable lounge chairs.
For a change of pace, pack a picnic lunch and head on up the hill, making sure to stop and visit the frog pond along the way, into the back country of the resort and explore the many hiking trails throughout the woods that will lead you to spectacular views of Crystal Lake and Lake Michigan, keep an eye out for various woodland creatures that pop out to say hello and if you are lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of a bald eagle. There are also several playgrounds throughout the resort for children to explore.
In the evening s, bring your roasting forks and s’more fixins’ down to the fire pit by the beach and enjoy the company of new and old friends as you share stories and songs around the campfire, watching the stars rise over the lake.
For those who need to get their “plug-in” fix, you can access the internet in the lobby of The Lodge and can catch the news or big game on the flat screen TV in the Beach Dining Room, open after dining hours for your convenience.
Extra linens and cottage supplies can be found at The Laundry located at the top of the hill and don’t hesitate to stop by The Lodge office if you have any other questions or concerns or just need a few suggestions for your next adventure.
